Elbow Park School will hopefully see some changes to the playground and parking lots.

It is planned to move the playground closer to 38 Avenue on the west side of the school. With basketball courts on the east side of the school.

The parking lot will be moved to the west side of the school with the entrance from Sifton Boulevard.

More trees will be planted along the edges of the playground.

The front entrance will have an improved appearance to fit with the historic nature of the building. A gathering area for students will be designed outside the front doors. Improved visiblity will also enhance security.

Safer crosswalks across 38 Avenue will be built in conjunction with the Elbow Park Traffic Calming Plan to be implemnted in Spring/Summer 2003. Sidewalks will be built on the east and west sides of the school.
