In the spirit of respect, truth, reciprocity and the journey to reconciliation, we acknowledge that this location is part of Treaty 7 territory. We respect the history, languages, traditions, and the cultures of the nations on whose land we reside: the Niitsitapi from the Blackfoot Confederacy which includes Siksika, Piikani and Kainaiwa; the lyarhe Nakoda of the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley Nations; and the Dene of the Tsuut’ina Nation; as well as the Metis Nation Region III. Our community commits to continuing to search for, commemorating and protecting the gifts of this land – its’ history and significance to all people as part of our journey toward true reconciliation and understanding.
